BAT Bursary Student Lora Cornes

TFEA was delighted hear an update on bursary student Lora Cornes as she continues her studies on the BA (Hons) Film Practice course at London College of Communication.

The report from UAL noted that “The Foundation for Essex Arts Bursary was crucial to Lora’s first year of studies. The financial support she received has helped her to cover travel costs to and from College, and allowed her to visit art galleries and museums across London – from which she has drawn inspiration. Additionally, Lora used the Bursary to purchase materials and computer software, which enabled her to create a film installation, this is everyday. This work challenged the idea of normalisation of natural human behaviours and discussed topics such as female sexuality and nudity in cinema productions.”

TFEA wishes Lora the best of luck with the rest of her studies and creative projects, looking forward to hearing more from this future filmmaker!
