BAT Bursary Student Kieran Strong
TFEA was very pleased to hear news about one of the BAT Bursary students Kieran Strong on the BA (Hons) Graphic Design Communication course at Chelsea College of Arts.
His work has certainly been diverse as we hear from UAL that “During this time he has worked to complete two main projects, the first of which is titled Birfur Overlay, and is a typographical piece using letterpress printing and twice overlaying two pieces of each letter (image below). The second project is titled GLTCH00000002, a publication discussing the role of social media and the internet today, and exploring the relationship between digital technology and art. Kieran is also working to further develop his photography portfolio. He commenced his third year of studies in September 2017 and is now due to graduate in July 2018.”
But Kieran’s talents aren’t confined to page and screen, his studies have also led him to explore furniture design, proof that with a creative mind anything is possible, and Kieran spoke of how:
“The Foundation for Essex Arts Scholarship has been immensely important to my personal and creative development at Chelsea College of Arts. It encouraged me to work on projects which I would otherwise be unable to, such as creating furniture. Thank you for your support!”
Keep up the good work Kieran, TFEA is very happy that we could help you, and look forward to seeing more of your creations soon!
