Lu Williams to bring zine making to Basildon
We are asking for ideas and participants to come forward with ideas to celebrate Basildon at 70. We aim to put on a week of fun creative workshops in the day time followed by an evening of related entertainment on the 23rd - 28th September. Open invite to all interested to contact us or meet with us on the 21/03/19 to talk more.
Welcome our new Trustee!
TFEA is really happy to share the news that local artist Lu Williams has been selected for the Basildon commission as part of the Essex Cultural Diversity Project.
Lu will hold a series of zine making workshops for residents and community groups to write, draw and collage their memories and opinions of Basildon. This hands on process will be a conversation starter about art, culture, and sculptures in the town.
The pages created in the workshops will then be collated to make a collaborative zine and an exhibition event in the town.
The Foundation for Essex Arts is delighted to announce the appointment of our new trustee Sue Willis. Sue joined us at the beginning of the month and had been getting to know us for the last three months or so before offering her skills and expertise.
